GIFT PARTY
A very happy “gift” party was given on Saturday evening in honour of Miss B. Hammond and Air. C. Pennefather whose marriage takes place shortly. It was hostessed by Airs. G. Fear and hold in the Durie Hill Hall. Each guest brought along a gift for the bride-elect’s future homo and a lovely collection or things wts tho result. Games and competitions were enjoyed and a dainty supper was served. In a brief speech, Air. G. Fear expressed the good wishes of all the friends present and asked tho guests of honour to accept the gifts with best wishes for their future happiness. Tho Rev. Nicholls also made a fitting little speech. Air. C. Pennefathcr suitably replied and thanked their friends for the jolly evening and the gifts.
