IMPORTATION LIMITED. WHEAT BOARD’S ACTION. ( Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, April 6. Action to limit the importation of flour and wheat into New Zealand has been taken by the Wheat Purchase Board in the hopes that a better clearance of Dominion products will bo effected. The board has entered into a contract with the millers, who have undertaken not to mix in more than 5 per cent, of imported flour in the next six months and 24 per cent, for the six months following. North Island millers are now using about 10 per cent, of imported flour. North Island suppliers of flour particularly have found themselves in a difficult position from overseas competition, so the board has decided to pay a subsidy of 15s a ton on all flour sold in the North.
