W.D.F.U. The monthly meeting of the Ohingi/.u 1 lurch of the W.D.F.U., held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, March 27, was well attended, Mrs. S. J. H. Lowry presiding. The minutes of the Dominion Executive meeting were read and discussed. The next meeting of the branch will be held on April 24 and will be the annual general meeting. Mesdames Linton and Burford acted as hostesses for the afternoon. ? CRICKET The match to be played against Utiku on Wednesday last had to be postponed owing to a shortage of both players and transport. It is hoped that the game will eventuate later. A practice game will be played on the local ground on Saturday, commencing at 1 p.m. PERSONAL Mr. R. W. Clevely and Miss M. Thompson are the relieving staff at the local school pending the appointment of the headmaster and assistant. Miss M. E. Lodge has taken charge of the Toha School and Mr. D. Biel has been appointed sole teacher at Crengapunga. Air. T. L. Hammond leaves on Sunday for a fortnight’s holiday in Wanganui. Mr. J. Goodwin took two of his team of horses to the Easte meeting at the Wellington Show Association’s grounds of horses to the Easter meeting at the and one third.
