LEAGUE OF NATIONS

The annual meeting of the Wanganui branch of the League of Nations Union promises to be of more than usual interest. In addition to tho ordinary Luhlness meeting a short musical programme is being arranged and an address will bo given by the President, Rev. John Paterson, M.A. The chief feature of the evening will be the presentation of a one-act play entitled “Pawns” by the brilliant modern author Percival Wildo. All interested in modern drama are cordially invited to see this play, to be produced under the able direction of the producer, Mr. Paul Latham. Those who are prevented by other engagements from attending the business part of the meeting will be welcomed later if they wish to see tho play, which is timed to commence at 9.15 p.m.
