BURGLARS FOILED
SAFE DOOR UNOPENED. [ Per Press Association. ] NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 9. A substantial sum of money was in the safe in the premises of C. A. Wilkinson Ltd., when burglars entered last night, but the money was still there this morning, because although the door of the safe was battered it refused to yield. Tho burglars selected several watches and clocks from the extensive stock and made exit through the door, which they smashed.
