DOMINION’S FIGURES SUBSTANTIAL DECREASE [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. According to estimates furnished by the Stock Inspectors of the Department of Agriculture, the total yield of wheat in the Dominion for the season 1933-34 should be approximately 8.500,000 bushels compared with an actual yield of bushels the previous season. The total yield of oats should be approximately 3,200,000 bushels against an actual vield of 5,132,183 bushels for 1932-33. The total yield of barlev should be approximately 650,000 bushels against an actual yield of 561,017 bushels for 1952-33. AUSTRALIAN WHEAT SMALL YIELD EXPECTED WITHIN THE EXPORT LIMIT. Received Feb. 8, 11.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb, 8. Commonwealth statisticians estimate that the Australian wheat yield for 1933-34 is 161,000,000 bushels. Trade experts, however, are of opinion that it will not exceed 155,000,000 bushels. It is anticipated that Australia will be well able to keep within the limit of 105,000,000 bushels allotted for export, and no restrictions will be necessary.
