GUTTED BY FIRE
SYNDEY SUBURBAN HOTEL. OCCUPANTS’ NARROW ESCAPE. Received Feb. 8. 9.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 8. Fire gutted the Criterion Hotel at Morcc, also four shops. Over 40 people in the hotel had narrow escapes in their night attire, and some were injured while rushing from the premises.. Th© damage is estimated at £12,000.
