! SEASON’S SALES OVER 98 PER CENT. j INCREASE IN EXPORTS. Rcmarkaiblo clearances were made at the wool sales held in the Dominion during January. According to returns compiled by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., the total offerings during the month, including five roster sales, were 148,900 bales, of which 147,717 bales, or slightly over 90 per cent, were sold. For the seven months of the 1933-34 season ended January 31, the total offerings were 320.357 bales, of which 314,986 bales, or over 98 per cent, wore sold. For the corresponding period of last season the total offerings were 285,430 bales, of which 253,415 bales, or nearly 89 per cent, were sold. This season’s offering for the seven months exceeded those for the corresponding period of last season by 34,927 bales and the quantity sold was greater by 61,571 bales. The detailed figures for the seven months compare as follow:

Exports of wool froni the Dominion last month totalled 141,114 bales. For the seven months ended January 31, exports totalled 347.763 bales, compared with 281,372 bales for the corresponding period of last season, an increase of 66.391 bales, or 23.59 per cent.
