Kidston, R.N., on charges of dangerous driving on the Picton Road on January 2, was fined £2O. His license was cancelled, and he was disqualified for two years. He did not appear ami was not represented, A witness said the defendant drove a lacing car at 60 to 70 miles an hour and crashed into a ditch. The rar was replaced on the road, but less than a mile further on it wrns again ditched, through going too fast. Replying to the magistrate, witness said the defendant was sober, but evidently expected a straight road, whereas actually it was full of curves. The Magistrate: I must put a atop tc this gentleman, and I am not going have him driving about the country like this. The police said the defendant had substantial means, and a fine would be no deterrent, whereupon the magistrate cancelled his license and disqualified him from getting another for two years.
