The Australian business revival, following on recent wool prices, the large reduction in the number of unemployed, and the increased spending among the public, has been reflected in the Australian cities in a general feeling of confidence, which must be the forerunner of a long period of sound prosperity, according to Mr W. D. Haydon, a Sydney businessman, at present staying in Christchurch. Mr Haydon attributed a great part of the recovery to the defeat of the Lang Government, and to the adoption of a sane policy by the Conservative Ministry. Sydney businessmen dreaded the thought of a Lang return, but most of them considered it an impossibility, he said.
