STOWAWAY’S LUCK
PASSENGERS PAY FARE. [ Per Press Association- ] WELLINGTON, Jan. 29. After the Marama had left Sydney on her last trip, a stowaway was discovered aboard. Realising that the man was a New Zealander, and that he was destitute, the passengers took up a collection and sufficient was raised to pay his fare. The erstwhile stowaway finished the journey as a bona fide passenger and landed in Wellington this morning a free man.
