TURAKINA SCHOOL
The annual pivnic of the Turakina School was held at Mr J. Grant’s bush on Friday last.' The weather was ideal for the occasion and the children spent a happy day. During tho afternoon a lengthy sports programme was provided for young and old. Following afternoon tea tho prizes wero distributed by Mrs R. J. Glasgow, every scholar receiving a valuable book. Prizes for the calf competition were won by: Wi Paki 1, Douglas McKenzie 2, Doris Kronast 3. Tennis Prize. —E. Karatau. The following received good attendance certificates.—Huru Woon, Ida Wigglcsworth, Sidney Conder, Boyd Wecnink, Frank Fell, Joseph Kronast, William Kronast, Doris Kronast, Jean Kronast, Frank Vickers.
