BUTTER AND CHEESE
A HOLIDAY MARKET. Received Dec. 22, 5.5 p.m, LONDON, Dec. 21. The butter market is in a holiday condition. Danish 106 s per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 67s to 68s; Australian, 665; unsalted is at 5s to 6s premium, The cheese market, is slow. New Zealand white 48s per cwt. coloured 445; Australian, coloured 435. A. J. Mills and Co. have received the following market pribes as ruling at the close of business on Thursday last: —“Butter: Market firm. New Zealand, finest 66s to 67s per cwt, firsts 65s to 665; Danish 108 s to 110 s; Australian 64s to 665; Siberian 62s to 645. The cheese market is steady. New Zealand white 47s to 48s per cwt. coloured 44s to 455; Canadian white and coloured 48s to 525.” Messrs. Henry A. Lane and Co., Ltd., Hawera, have received the following cabled market report from their London principals:— New Zealand cheese.—White 475, 48s. Coloured 445. Market easier. New Zealand butter. —Finest 665. Market steadier at dm-linr.
