Thc Beautifying Society has decided to confine its efforts to a shop and will not combine with the Scots’ Society in the autumn show. In last week’s Gazette Mr. Alick Black Abel was promoted to SecondLieutenant in thc Manawatu Mounted i Rifles. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Ironmonger are I visiting Auckland. I At Feilding High School Philip S. I Weston, son of Mr. and Airs. P. Weston, : Hunterville, was awarded first prize, i for general excellence in Form VA. He 1 also won thc Feilding A. and P. AssoI cintion ’s Challenge Cup for all subjects of thc senior agricultural course, and ■ the Allen Bros. rose, bowl for merit. , Ju addition he has gained a certificate, in agriculture.
