TRUCK OVER A BANK

THE DRIVER KILLED. [ Per Preae AFsoclation. I NEILSON, Dec. 5. Mr. Charles Dean, aged 33, married, with no children, was killed instantly yesterday when the loaded gravel truck he was driving wont over a bank on tho Hope Saddle while passing a car. The truck was smashed to pieces. A passenger, Mr. William Evans, who was injured, was sent to hospital. Deceased. wa« an Australian and nad been in New Zealand for two years. Thc truck fell 70 feet before the men were thrown clear, but the vehicle hurtled on down the slope for a considerable distance.
