Expressing the view that the proposed licensees were not suitable men the Wellington Licensing Committer refused to grant transrers of license? of the Caledonian Hotel and Victoria Hotel. In each case the applicatioi was adjourned tn January 23 to enabl( arrangements to be made for othei licensees to take the hotels.
