ABSENT BRIDEGROOM

TOO LATE FOR CEREMONY. An Aberdeenshire girl hunted all over the district on a cyclo and in a ear recently, in a search for a farm servant who was to be Tier bridegroom. She found him, but it was too late for the ceremony. The parties belong to the Turriff district. All preparations had been made for the marriage. The guests had assembled at an hotel, and the bride and the minister were ready. The bridegroom, however was absent. When discovered by the irate young woman he was peacefully working on his farm.
