SHOOTING
DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB RUSSELL BROTHERS’ TROPHY. SCORING ON SATURDAY. Under ideal shooting conditions on Saturday the Wanganui Defence Rifle Club shot for a trophy donated by Russell Bros. High scoring was the order of the day, several possibles be ing scored by R. Shaw, J. Ford, and P. C. Hamilton. Hamilton proved the winner of the trophy with an excel lent score of 101 out of the possible 105. Among the lirst-year marksmen C. Sheriff won a trophy donated by Mr. Hughes, while GolAsronc scored five bulls and a 4 at 300 yards. Next week a championship shoot will be fired at 500 and 600 yards, the scores also to count for a turkey do nated by Mr. Farley. Following are the detailed scores of Saturday's shooting;
