DESERT TRANSPORT IN IRAQ.—Passenger car used by the Nairn Desert Transport Service halted at one of its stopping places in the desert between Damascus and Bagdad. This car carries two drivers and enough food and water to last six days. Mr. G. Nairn, who, with his brother, inaugurated the 550 miles transport service across the Iraq desert, is at present on a visit to New Zealand.
