SHIP BLOWN UP
ON GREAT BEAR LAKE. ADRIFT IN A STORM. LONDON, Nov. 17. A thrilling tale of adventure and hardship, with still a chapter to come, is told by wireless from the snow-clad and ice-bound wastes of North-Western Canada. With snow and furious gales, winter made an early spread over Western Canada. Captain Victor Ingraham, the intrepid master of a motor-ship carrying mining machinery on Great Bear Lake, found hmself caught in a terrific north-easter which cut his vessel I adrift. While they were trying to get the engines working an explosion occurred and two of the crew were killed. The vessel blew up.
