p otIEEK STEAMER LOST BUNK IN A HURRICANE. Received Oct. 13, 8.10 p.m. PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 12. Twenty-one lives were lost when the Greek steamer Annoula sank in a hurricane off the North Carolina ■coast on Saturday last. Five survivors reported to-day after landing from a rescue vessel. Captain George Couvielos and four members of the crew, in a lifeboat, were picked up on Sundav by the steamer Montello 110 miles north-west of Bermuda after drifting 60 miles. Captain Couvielos said that he called the radio operator on Saturdav morning to send an 5.0.8., but at that moment mountainous waves swept over the ship throwing him into the sea. where he and two others were picked up bv two sailors who managed to get one of the ship’s lifeboats. All the ' others of the crew were drowned.
