CANADIAN WHEAT
CROP SUFFERS HEAVILY. EXPORTS OF WHEAT INCREASE. OTTAWA, Aug. 9. Heat, drought, and plagues of grasshoppers combined during the past week to cause further damage to the Canadian crops. The Bureau of Statistics reported an increase of more than 100,000 bushels of export clearance for the week ending August 4, compared with the previous week, an increase of more than 500,000 bushels against the corresponding period of last year.
