INFLUENZA PNEUMONIA

CURE BY INJECTION LONDON DOCTOR’S REPORT LONDON. Aug. 3. Mr Ronald Hare, of the research department of Quecu Charlotte’s Hospital, writing in the Lancet, describes the cure of a woman suffering from influenzal pneumonia. When she was in a dying state injections were made with scrum taken from convalescent patients and resulted in her complete recovery. Dr. Hare says: “In the absence of any method for making anti-serum artificially, the employment of convalescent scrum in influenzal pneumonia merits further trial.”
