PRETTY GIRL’S DEATH POLICE FEAR SCANDAL 'By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) PARIS, Aug. 3. Mystery surrounds the death ot Dorothy Wright, a pretty girl, aged 24, who was found dying from gunshot wounds in a bath in the fashionable Champs Hotel. The police, fearing a scandal in society and political circles, endeavoured to suppress the tragedy, in which a wealthy married French politician was allegedly involved. Ho states that she shot herself before he could intervene. The victim was born in Ceylon and spent her childhood in India and Australia. Tho Public Prosecutor has decided that Miss Wright committed suicide aSid an inquest is unnecessary. The police have maintained the closest secrecy, even warning journalists to discontinue their investigations. SON OF MILLIONAIRE LONDON. Aug. 4. In Connection with Miss Wright’s death it is disclosed that tho man referred to is Roland Coty, son of the millionaire, Francois Coty, perfume manufacturer and newspaper proprietor. Roland states that he found Miss Wright in a room adjoining his bedroom. She held a revolver. He seized her wrist, but she fired at her head.
