PALMERSTON NORTH SALE. At Abraham and Williams, Ltd. s monthly sale of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow yesterday another exceptionally large catalogue wa« offered to a full bench of buyers. Competition throughout was keen, but in sympathy with sales in other centres values for wool, sheepskins and hides fell. Calfskins and tallow appreciated in value under strong competition. Wool: Our offering consisted mostly of crutchings which met with a ready sale at values on a par with our last sale. Other sorts dropped up to Id per lb. Sheepskins: There was a keen demand, particularly for medium and coarse full-wooled skins, which receded in value Id per pound. Finer sorts were back up to 2d per pound. Others were back up to Id per pound. Hides: Both ox and cow hides depreciated in value, the former by Id and the latter per pound. Yearlings, and all calfskins, rose id to l|d per pound. Tallow: The market is very strong at value sabovc our last sale 6d to Is per cwt.
