Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough generally. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong west to south-west winds with rough seas, but moderating gradually to-morrow. Weather: Cloudy to overcast with some rain in most districts and snow on the ranges. Temperatures becoming colder. An improvement in the weather should commence to-morrow. The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, report for 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday: Bright sunshine, nil. Rainfall, nil. Shade temperature: Maximum, 57 deg. Fahr.; minimum, 34 deg. Fahr.
