LARGE SUM APPLIED FOR. Received July 30, 6.10 p.m. LONDON, July 29. Application for Treasury Bills to-day totalled £81,475,000. The amount allotted at three months was £40,000,000 and the average rate per cent. 6s 11.68 d compared with 6s 5.42 d last week.
