PING PONG. Bulls and Marton Presbyterian PingPong Clubs will play a match at Marton this evening. The Bulls team will be as follows:—Misses I. Walker, Min. 'ivarney, E. Larmor, and B. Stevens; Messrs. H. Hendry, J. Neilson, F. Howard ami J. Larmor. Cars leave Clifton Hall at 6.45 p.m. ON THE RANGE. Tho weather was dull and misty on Saturday, but some good scores were registered on the open range. D. Lundy put on the possible at 30U yards, and H. Meads 48 and J. Smillie. 45 at 606 yards. Robins 44 —38 —82 MAORI TENNIS CLUB DANCE. This evening tho Rangitikei Maori Tennis Club will hold a dance and euchre party in the Town Hall. The Aotea Orchestra of six, novelty dances, and good prizes for cards, are all attractive fetauros. and there should be a largo attendance. RUGBY. The senior match between Rongotea and Makowhai Camp, which was to have been played at. Ohakea on Saturday, was pontponed, and the only game there was a third grade clash between Ohakea. and Awahuri, the homo team winning by 6to 3. Ohakea seniors met Awahuri, the home team winning by 6 to 3. Ohakea seniors met Awahuri in the Jones knock-out competition at Sanson, Ohakea winning a well-contested game by 17 to 11. MOTORISTS IN TROUBLE. The Tutaenui River rose rapidly on Sunday morning, following heavy rain here and up-country, and by 10 a.in. there was a stream of several inches crossing the main road near the Rangitikei Factory. Motorists who kept to the middle of the road got through safely, but others were bogged, though no damage is reported. Surface water surrounded several dwellings here, and cement and other goods which might have been damaged if the water had reached them had to be removed to higher ground. PAREWANUI SCHOOL EUCHRE. The Parewanui School dance and euchre party attracted a good attendance on Friday night, and proved most enjoyable. Miss Murphy won the lady’s prize at cards, and Mr. W. Braken the gent’s (after playing off with Mr. D. O’Connell). Consolations were awarded to Airs. D. O’Connell and Mr. E. Gilman. Miss Murphy played the dance music, and an extra was contributed by Airs. A. Trembath.
