The Gear Meat Company announces that it holds £319,225 fa«co value of Government stock, free of income tax. The recent reduction in interest thereon from 4J per cent, to 3| per cent., renders thia holdmu leats
to the company’s annual finance. The directors resolved to propose to shareholders a distribution in proportion to cavil holding of £230,000 34 per cent, stock, assumed for the purpose to be of the exact face value. As a necessary result tho share capital will be rcduccl from £460,000 of £1 each fully paid to £460.000 share of ten hillings eaelh fully paid, subject to approval by the Supreme Court of suvh reduction.
