Ohingaiti wore again fighting hard and play was kept in the centre of the field for some time. Blues had the reds defending again and they were forced Ito force down. A few minutes later Ohingaiti were awarded a free kivk, but Tolley failed to find the uprights. From the drop-off Tolley sent his backs away again, but Jones was pressed out at half-way. A lino-out followed and Lewis sent his backs away, the ball going to McCarthy, who was well grassed. Ohingaiti wore again awarded a free kick, one of the rods being off-side. but. Henderson failed to find the uprights. The blues were now pressing hard and the rods seemed very relieved when halftime was called. The score then was: Athletic 3; Ohingaiti 0. The second spell opened with blues again attacking and they soon found themselves in the reds’ twenty-five. V ilkio, who was playing well secured and found the line at half-way. From the line-out, McCarthy again broke away and cut out. two men before he was well grassed. Play again was kept in midfield till Ohingaiti sent the ball out in Athletic’s twenty-live. From a lino-out. Clent again set the blues in action. Tolley was grassed before he could let Jones have the ball.
