WINNER OF £2OOO. I Per Press Association. 1 HAWERA, July 12. The identity of the winner of the £2OOO prize in the ‘‘Lucky at Last” ait union has been established as Fret? Hart, a farm labourer of Hawera, and a return soldier, aged 36. He is understood t-o be single. Difficulty has been experienced in ascertaining his whereabouts, apparently through an endeavour to avoid publicity. A rumour was current" this morning that he intended to leave by train for Wellington. The information wag sufficient to attract to the station a number of bright sales meu prepared to sell the lucky man anything from farms, or motor-cars to life insurance. They were disappointed when he failed to appear. He left by <-ar. having anticipated such a recepThc winning ticket was purchased in Palmerston North. Hart using the nom de plume “Passing Through,"’ as he was travelling from Napier to Hawera.
