SUEZ CANAL CONTROL
CONSERVATIVES’ PROPOSAL. LONDON, May 24. In the House of Commons, Mr. J. B, Whyte (Con.) asked would the Government consider a suggestion that part of Britain’s share of the holdings in the Suez Canal be distributed amongst the Dominions to ensure more effective representations on the board? Mr. Stanley Baldw'n replied that it would not be practicable. There were at present three British official directors in addition to seven unofficial.
