( MEN AND THEIR CLUB GIRLS’ SECRET PLANS “JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE.” Plans are being laid secretly and methodically for a full fledged “sex war’’ in Newcastle-under-Lyne, England. says a correspondent of the News of the World. Since the revival last year of the Bachelor’s Club, which was originally founded half a century ago, an attitude of contempt has become distinctly noticeable toward the members of the club by the eligible young women of the town. Now things have come to a head, and when the feminine fireworks are released they will go off with a real bang. The leader of the anti bachelor move ment has forbidden the publication of « her name, as it is intended to keep the enemy in the dark until the psychologieal moment arrives She states, W however, that the line of action which she and her supporters will take will cause the club members to readjust their ideas about marriage. “The Bachelors’ Club.” she stated, “is only a cloak for rightdown meanness. The;- even flaunt their matrimonial aloofness by wearing ties and scarves with their club colours—blue, white and cream. At their first annual ball, however, they found it necessary to invite girls and women of all ages, married or single. Now they have gone back into their club shells for another year—so they think! But just you wait and see!” An official of the club smiled when the writer hinted at the dark days ahead for the members. “It is not the first time we have been threatened,” he declared, “but we are ready for all eventualities. If our members wish to remain bachelors, why shouldn’t they? Marriage is not a game or a pastime. It’s a sentence! “Any member who changes his mind is not allowed to resign frum the chib.
