GLOBE THEATRE
“THE SENTIMENTAL BLOKE.” “The Sentimental Bloke,” now showing at the Globe, is an Australian production from C. J. Dennis’ immortal classic of that name. It deals with the trials, vicissitudes and triumphs—the “livin’ and lovin’ ”—of those wellknown people, the Bloke and Doreen, with their cobbers, Ginger Mick and Arty. It has everything in it to give the whole family the laugh, the heartache and the thrill of a lifetime There’ll be more people saying “Spare me days” and “I dips me lid” than ever said “Oh, Yeah.” The first half of the programme comprises a series of very fine Efftee shorts, three vocal items, Chinese Band, Ray and Moon dance and a grand George Wallace comedy.
