BRITISH COMPETITION Received May 11, 5.21 p.m. LONDON, May 11. At the wool sales 8463 bales were offered, including 5474 New Zealand. About 7169 were sold. There was brisk, general competition for all do scriptions, the bulk of the offering being cleared at full opening rates. New Zealand greasy Merinos: Craig Lockhart, top, lljd; average, 11 3-8 d; greasy crossbred, Havelock, 10Jd 7 7-Bd.
