Mrs A. Hammond, Campbell Street, has returned from a two months’ visit to her brother, Air T. Tyerman, of Gisborne. • Mr and Mrs Short, of Smithfield, left by motor last Monday for Rotorua. Mrs Brinkman, St. John's Hill, is visiting Wellington as a guest at Hotel St. George. Miss C. Stanford, Wickstecd Street, is spending a holiday at Matahiwi with Mrs Maurice Campbell. Mrs Collier, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Herd, of Auckland, has returned to her home on Durie Hill. Mr and Mrs Len V. Wordsworth and Mr and Mrs G. McKay, of Dargaville, i are guests at the Rutland Hotel. Miss Frances Price, R.R.C., having I sufficiently recovered from the injuries I received through a motor accident, has left tho Wanganui Hospital and returned to her home, Mary bank. Mr and Mrs R. M. Doughty, of Wellington, are guests at Foster’s Hotel. Mr and Mrs Everett, Wanganui, are on a short visit to Napier. Mrs Jewell, of Mangamahu, is staying with her sister, Mrs Lovegrove, Castlccliff, Mr and Mrs C. J. Adams, of Palmerston North, are among the guests at Foster's Hotel. Miss Hettie Williams left on Monday for the Otago University, for the capping functions, to receive her diploma for home science. Captain and Mrs Corbett-Scott held a reception at their home, “The Manor House,” Epsom, on Saturday afternoon, for the captain’s 95th. byrihday. Miss D. Maclean, of Timaru, is spending the term holidays in Wanganui with her mother, Mrs T. B. Maclean, Victoria Avenue. Miss E. McCormack, of Taihape, is visiting Wanganui for tho term vacation, and is staying with Mrs Burke, Wicksteed Street.

Flying-Officer lan Keith leaves at the end of this week for Nelson, where his marriage to Miss Skinner will take place. Mr and Mrs F. Bowen, of Gisborne, and Mrs IV. Harden, of Wanganui, are the guests of Mrs H. Harris. Turakina Valley.
