ANGLING RESTRICTIONS

NORTH CANTERBURY AREA Several restrictions on fishing were dealt with at a meeting of the council of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society last week, on tho presentation of a report from a special trout sub-committee. This body reported that it had decided to increase tho minimum size limit of takeable fish from 9in. to 10in., with a provision that 20 fish should be the maximum that could bo taken from noon of ono day until noon of the next. The closing of Lake Lyndon next season to protect area for fly fishing was recommended. It was also recommended that, owing to its low level. Lake Georgina be restricted to fly-fishig next season.
