BRADLEY—SPOONER.
A wedding of considerable interest to residents of Taihape and district was celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, Taihape, on Monday afternoon, when Etta Beatrice, youngest daughter of Air. and Airs. E. W. Spooner, was married to Leslie Newsopio Bradley, son of Airs. G. R. Cooper (Invercargill) and the late Air. T. Bradley. The officiating minister was Rev. H. Harris, while Air. C. Hcnrichs presided at tho organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of palest apricot ring velvet writh shoes to match. Her veil was of embroidered net, and her bouquet was a sheaf of chrysanthemums, ncrincs, and roses. She was attended by Afiss Barbara Spooner as bridesmaid. Miss Spooner’s dress was of palest green elephant crepe with an apricot toque, while she carried a sheaf of apricot gladioli. The flower girls were Priscilla McKenzie and Patricia Olliver, nieces of the bride. They looked very sweet in dresses of pale green, early Victorian style, and each carried apricot-tinted posies.
The bridegroom was attended by Air. R. Afarks (Waverley) as best man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s parents. McKenzie, L. Spooner (Hamilton), J. Spooner (Wellington), P. Oldham, M. Stupplcs, AL Hardie (Wanganui), Al. Fookes, N. Bradley, AL Webster, D. Alortland, W. Wilmot, AL Sexton; Messrs. A. After the reception the bride and bridegroom left for the north, and were accorded a most enthusiastic send-off. The bride travelled in a brown velvet dress, with lemon wool lace, and toque to tone. She wore a brown velvet coat and brown fur stole.
