The Rev. J. Paterson was the gucs of the Wanganui Rotary Club yesterday and recounted several reminiscences Mr. J. Hislop, of Napier, was also thi guest of the club.

Mr. P. Tingey, of Wanganui, wii take charge of the Wellington brand of R. and E. Tingey and Co., Ltd., un til the return of Mr. L. Tingey, who i going on a visit to Australia by thr Wanganella on Thursday.

Mr. A. S. Gower, head office inspector, Mr. W. A. Martin, general manager for New Zealand, and Mr. W. A. McDonald, the new business manager of the National Mutual Life Assurance Society, arrived in Wanganui last night and are staying at Foster’s Hotel.

Mr. F. 11. Holz, of Wellington, was the guest of the Wanganui Rotary Club yesterday when the weekly luncheon was held. Mr. Holz is to confer with the Wanganui Hospital Board shortly with regard to tho possibility of a free ambulance service being started in Wanganui.

Mr. W. J. Stone has been appointed to represent tho Wanganui Rotary Club on the executive of the Wanganui branch of the St. John Ambulance Association. Air. F. J. Symes, also a member of the Rotary Club, was recently elected president of the Ambulance Association.
