ARGENTINE BEEF
QUOTA EVASIONS. Received April 27 1 a.m. LONDON, April 26 Mr R. G. Pcrriman, a director of William Angliss and Co., told a Sun correspondent that Australian and New Zealand beef had severely slumped in view of Argentine evasions, especially the landing of meat in Britain as offal. The trade was requesting its agencies in general to co-operate. A deputation to Mr Thomas will urge substantial reductions in foreign beef imports.
