ANZAC DAY CONCERT

Sir,—Kindly allow me to express the thanks of the veterans of Wanganui to those who helped us so willingly on Anzac Day, and to asure them of our deepest appreciation. The moneys collected will augment the funds considerably for the relief of our distressed comrades. I refer to the Garrison Band for playing so ably at night for us, the Opera House staff who gave a strenuous night’s service to us gratis for the cause, also to the Scouts and several other friends for their kind services. We were sorry that so many of the public could not be accommodated on account of the demand for seats. W. H. CANNAN, President. Wanganui Empire Veterans’ Assn.
