AMERICAN UNEMPLOYED
HUNDREDS ON THE MARCH TURNED BACK BY POLICE. OTTAWA (Illinois), April 6. Eleven hundred unemployed relief demonstrators, mostly from Chicago, en route to the State Capitol at Springfield, were turned back toward their homes to-day by a barrage of tear gas. Eleven wore arrested.
