Easton, president elect of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, is spending the week-end at Wanganui. He leaves for Christchurch on Aloday to take up his appointment at Durham Street Shurch. Until reeentlv he was chairman of the Wanganui-Tara-naki Methodist Couvcrsional district and minister of the Whitely Afemorial Church, New Plymouth. The death occurred last week at Hadfield, Canterbury, of Air. Koreopa Kaioro Harawira, father-in-law of Air. T. Edwards, of Kai Iwi. and Airs Abraham. The funeral service ftas performed by Bishop West-Watson, who was assisted by Dean Julius and the Rev. 11. T. Hopkins and Air. J. K. Kingi. Airs. Edwards and Airs. Abrahams attended the funeral.
