GRAND CONCERT

SUNDAY NIGHT At the Opera House on Sunday evening the Queen. Alexandra Band will open their indoor concert season. Mr. Arthur Vcrrou, aa artist of merit and well known for his entertaining ability will present the tuuicnce with wholesome humour. A special feature will be the singing of “Lead Kindly Ligth” by the choir of Sperring’s, Ltd. This combination was the popular winner at the recent High Jinks Fair competition and their appearance will be a musical ’;eat. Little Mrs. Shirley ’Mills will present “Coinin' Thru’' the Rye” and “Charmaine.” For a child this performer is outstanding and never fails to corn the hearty approbation fur her work. Another treat will be the: appearance of Woolwork's Quartette singing “Passing By’ a nd, by special request, “The Rosary.” A pleasant surprise is in store for those who have not heard these singers, whose voices blend exceptionally well. The band, under Lieutenant E. Webb, will give a firstclass continental selection, “Pique Dame” and the hymn “Praise to the Holiest,” with new organ-like effects. A feature of the evening will bo “Rose Marie,” a new English arrangement which has just been received by tho band. A silver coin collection will be taken the doors am! trams will await the conclusion.
