[ Per Pr«’ Association.) WELLINGTON, March 20. A new phase of the Transport Licensing Aet is about to come into operation. Under the Aet proprietors of motor services who could show they have been operating substantially the same services since March 31, 1931, were entitled last year to an automatic license, the term of which expired in the North Island on February 28 last and in the South Island expires on August 31 next. On the expiration of the term of the automatic licenses applicants for renewals must prove that the services are necessary in the public interest.
