MOTOR-CYCLE RACES

WANGANUI SPORTS CLUB MEETING ON SATURDAY. On Saturday afternoon tße Wanganui Sports Motor-cycle Club held a beachracing programme on the Abbot foreshore. The track was in first class order, and the circular mile allowed for some fast times. A number of interesting racing machines were entered, some of which were making their first appearance. The riding was of a spectacular standard at periods. Standard sporting machines, however, expertly handled by amateur riders, took a fair share of the prizes and made the professional riders’ task no easy one. Results were: — Two-mile Scratch Race: J.
