TRIPLE MURDERER

SENTENCED TO DEATH LONDON, Nov. 26. Janies Collins, a private of the Second Battalion of the Buffs, has been found guilty of the murder of Mrs Swift and her daughter and granddaughter, but insane. The jury commended the bravery of Constable Chapman, who made the arrest. The Judge said it was one of the pluckiest things he ever read of. A mysterious triple tragedy was revealed by the discovery on June 14 of the bodies of two women and a girl at King’s Wood, near Challock, Kent. The victims wcre Mrs Janio Swift, Mrs Jennie Stomp, and Peggy Stemp. The police arrested Collins at Potter’s Bar, where he was found armed. While the man was re-loading his rifle a policman pounced on him from behind.
