Attend to stirring the surface soil at least once a week to benefit the plants, conserve the moisture and add to the appearance of the garden generally. Dig up and clean and store narcissus bulbs. If any are left in the ground lightly fork the surface around them Plant phlox, petunias or other shallowrooting annuals. Liliums are advancing in growth Mulch around them with some wellrotted manure and stake tho flower stems.
