The occupants of both houses raided wer c at a theatre during the evening, and they returned to find the premises in disorder. Clothes had been pulled out of drawers and flung on the floor, chairs and tables were overturned and even mattresses were pulled off beds. Jewellery, money, articles of gold and silver and clothing were included in the thieves’ booty. A vashbox was ripped open and tho contents stolen.
