FUNDS TO BE RAISED I • POPULAR BOY” CAMPAIGN j A»si»tan< e is to be given unemployed i boys of Wanganui by the staging of a “Popular Bov < 'oim-ent <>n ’ ’ and a Mad Hatters’ Ball/ These decisions were made last evening when a public I meeting was hold ’n the Y.M.C.A. to. consider the best possible means of j aiding the funds of Wanganui •Juvenile Unemployment Committee. The meeting was well attended, some i 40 people being present. Mr. F. G. j Beaven presided. A campaign committee was formed. Mr. D. McClymont being appointed’ chairman, and various schemes were submitted as to the wavs and meanof raising money. The derision to r«- j peat the Mad Ila’ , er> / Ball was unani-I mously decided upop. The River City i Syneopators’ Orchestra will be rn ' The popular boy competition wi'li commence on Monday and will continue until December 28. Candidates for the various district wore nominated as follow: Gonvillc: Master D. Donner. <’astlcdiff: Master Eddingor. City: Master D. McClymont. St. John’s Hill. Master K. Grant ! Wanganui East: Master K.
